The ECDL Core is the most wide-spread ECDL certificate. It is aimed at everyone who would like to prove their basic computer skills.

 The ECDL Core attests that you

• are proficient in internationally used applications,
• can use the computer efficiently,
• can keep up with further developments in information technology without any difficulties
• and you have the required basics for further IT-education.

        

• The ECDL Core is built modularly: You are free to choose the order and the interval in which you take the exams. This way you can acquire the expertise which you really need at the moment.
• The ECDL Core is internationally recognised: It is currently implemented in 148 countries in 41 languages. Worldwide over 10 million IT-users are on their way to the ECDL Core.
• The ECDL Core is standardised: The examination questions are based on a uniform European standard which is specified in the ECDL Syllabus.
• The ECDL Core is entirely independent of provider, platforms, and education institutions. Accredited ECDL Test Centres offer the ECDL examinations and some of them also provide the according training.
